This is certainly one of the sweeter IPAs that I've had, in a good way. I knew this must be a special beer since when I first popped the cap, I could sense the sweet nectar that resembled the scent of lychee (one of my favorite Asian fruits!). The taste also has a hint of lychee, so for folks that love lychee and enjoy IPAs, this is a must have beer!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as it hits your mouth, the sweetness first presents itself at the tip of your tongue before the hops define itself on the two sides of the back of your tongue. Then the subsequent sips, the reverse order seems to take place; first the hops and it bitterness, then the front with the sweetness. If you had to define life's bitter sweetness, point people to this beer as it definitely represents it in fine fashion.
